    Coriolis Force Scale

    May Tue, 2026

    Coriolis Force Scale

Manxing Coriolis Force Scales are high-precision dynamic weighing systems designed for continuous measurement and dosing of powdered, granular, and pellet bulk materials in industrial conveying and silo discharge applications. The system utilizes the Coriolis force principle to accurately measure material mass flow in real time, making it ideal for automated batching, loading, feeding, and production control systems.

Coriolis force scales are widely used in cement plants, grain processing facilities, chemical factories, mining operations, biomass plants, fertilizer production lines, and bulk material handling systems where accurate flow measurement and stable process control are critical.

Unlike traditional weighing systems that are affected by material density changes or inconsistent flow conditions, Coriolis force scales provide highly accurate and stable measurement performance even under variable material flow rates.

    Main Applications

    Silo discharge weighing systems

    Continuous bulk material dosing

    Cement and fly ash metering

    Grain and feed batching systems

    Pneumatic conveying flow measurement

    Bulk truck loading measurement

    Production line feeding control

    Automatic batching and mixing systems

    Working Principle

Coriolis force scale is configured with a measuring panel, on which several measuring blades are arranged radially. The measuring panel rotates at a high speed under the drive of motor spindle. The material to be measured falls into the center of the measuring panel, changes its flow direction through the parting cone, is captured by the blades, and moves radially to the outer edge under the action of centrifugal force. In the process of movement, the material is subjected to the action of radial friction force, reverse centrifugal force, and tangential Coriolis force, Coriolis force will cause a counteractive motoring torque, while the friction force and centrifugal force will not produce a counteractive motoring torque on the drive shaft. The mass flow rate of the material can be obtained by measuring the torque of Coriolis force on the measuring panel.

The system measures the Coriolis force generated by moving bulk materials inside a rotating measuring device. By analyzing the force variation caused by material flow, the scale accurately calculates the real-time mass flow rate and total throughput.

This enables continuous and highly precise bulk material measurement without interruption of the conveying process.

Traditional bulk material weighing systems often experience:

Inaccurate measurement caused by material density variation

    Unstable feeding affecting batching precision

    Material buildup causing weighing deviation

Difficulties measuring low-flow or fluctuating materials

High maintenance requirements in dusty environments

Poor integration with automated production systems

These problems can lead to inconsistent product quality, material waste, unstable production operation, and inaccurate inventory management.

    Typical Silo Matching Solutions

    Cement Plant Solution

Cement powder discharged from welded steel silos passes through screw conveyors into Coriolis force scales for continuous weighing and precise feeding to automatic packing machines or bulk truck loading systems.

    Fly Ash Handling Solution

Fly ash stored inside flat-bottom silos is pneumatically conveyed through Coriolis force scales to monitor real-time material flow before entering tanker loading systems.

    Grain Storage Solution

Grain discharged from storage silos is measured by Coriolis force scales before entering batching and mixing systems to ensure accurate feed formulation and production control.

    Chemical Industry Solution

Chemical powders stored in stainless steel silos are continuously dosed through Coriolis force scales into reactors and blending systems requiring high-precision material proportioning.

    Integration with Manxing Silo Systems

Manxing Coriolis Force Scales can be integrated with:

    Flat Bottom Silos

    Hopper Bottom Silos

    Pneumatic Conveying Systems

    Screw Conveyors

    Rotary Valves

    Automatic Batching Systems

    Bulk Loading Systems

    Packing Line Systems

    PLC/DCS Automation Systems

This allows Manxing to provide complete turnkey bulk material storage, conveying, weighing, and process control solutions for modern industrial plants.
