Bucket Elevator
Reliable Vertical Conveying for Bulk Materials
The Bucket Elevator is one of the most efficient solutions for vertical transportation of bulk materials in silo storage, processing, and handling systems. It utilizes a series of buckets mounted on a continuous belt or chain to lift materials vertically while maintaining stable and reliable operation.
Designed for applications ranging from cement plants and grain terminals to mining and power generation facilities, our bucket elevators can handle various free-flowing and semi-free-flowing materials such as cement, fly ash, grain, coal, limestone, fertilizers, activated carbon, and mineral powders.
Available in centrifugal discharge and continuous discharge configurations, each elevator is custom engineered according to material characteristics, lifting height, throughput requirements, and operating conditions.
Key Features & Advantages
Fully Enclosed Structure
Dust-tight casing design minimizes material loss and environmental contamination for indoor and outdoor installations.
Flexible Discharge Options
Available with centrifugal discharge for high-capacity handling or continuous discharge for gentle material conveying.
Belt & Chain Configurations
Belt elevators offer quiet and economical operation, while chain elevators are ideal for heavy-duty and high-temperature applications.
Wear-Resistant Components
Durable buckets and optional abrasion-resistant steel lips ensure extended service life when handling abrasive materials.
Easy Maintenance
Inspection doors and removable covers provide convenient access for routine maintenance and servicing.
Automation Ready
Compatible with VFD drives, PLC controls, level sensors, and centralized monitoring systems.
How Does a Bucket Elevator Work?
Bulk material enters the elevator through the inlet section located at the boot. Buckets attached to a continuous belt or chain scoop the material and transport it vertically within the enclosed casing.
Once reaching the head section, the material is discharged through centrifugal force or gravity depending on the selected elevator design. The empty buckets then return to the loading point for the next conveying cycle.
This continuous operation provides efficient vertical material transport while requiring minimal floor space compared with inclined conveyors.
