Dense Phase Pneumatic Conveying System

Dense phase pneumatic conveying moves bulk materials through pipelines at low velocity (3-8 m/s) and high pressure (1.5-4 bar), using compressed air to push material in plug or fluidized form. Compared to dilute phase systems, dense phase reduces energy consumption by 40% and pipe wear by 60%, making it the preferred choice for abrasive materials like cement, fly ash, and slag.

How It Works

Material enters a pressure vessel (sender pot) through an inlet valve. Once filled, the vessel is pressurized with compressed air. A controlled air injection sequence pushes the material through the pipeline in dense plugs or a fluidized column. At the receiving end, a filter vent releases the conveying air while the material enters the destination silo or hopper.
