Flat bottom silos offer the lowest cost per tonne of storage capacity, but their discharge performance depends entirely on the reclaim system design. Our multi-point screw reclaimer system transforms a flat bottom silo from a "dead storage" vessel into a reliable, first-in-first-out (FIFO) storage system with 95%+ material recovery.

Design Principle

A grid of screw conveyors installed across the silo floor creates multiple simultaneous discharge points. Each screw operates independently, allowing the control system to activate zones sequentially or simultaneously to achieve a uniform draw-down pattern across the entire silo cross-section.

System Components

• Floor screws: 200-400mm diameter, wear-resistant steel, spaced 1.5-3m apart
• Collecting conveyor: Central trough or tunnel conveyor beneath the screw outlets
• Control system: PLC-based zone sequencing with load feedback from each screw motor
• Aeration pads: Optional fluidization system for cohesive materials (cement, fly ash)
