System Architecture
- Field layer: Sensors (level, temperature, pressure, dust), actuators (gates, valves, motors), and safety devices (explosion vents, fire suppression)
- Control layer: Siemens S7-1500 or Allen-Bradley PLC executing real-time control logic with <10ms cycle time
- Supervisory layer: WinCC or iFIX SCADA with customizable dashboards, trend charts, and alarm management
- Remote access: Secure web interface for authorized personnel to monitor operations from any device
Key Functions
- Automated filling: Conveyor-to-silo routing based on material type and silo availability
- Discharge control: Automated gate sequencing with flow rate regulation
- Inventory tracking: Real-time tonnage calculation with historical trend logging
- Alarm management: SMS/email notifications for critical events (high level, temperature spike, equipment fault)
- Report generation: Daily/weekly/monthly production reports with material balance calculations
