Radar Level Monitoring System
Accurate level measurement is the foundation of silo inventory management. Our radar level monitoring system uses 80GHz frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) technology to deliver ±1mm measurement accuracy across silos from 3m to 60m height, regardless of dust, temperature, or material properties.
Why 80GHz Radar?
Traditional ultrasonic sensors fail in dusty silo environments (cement, fly ash, coal) because sound waves scatter from airborne particles. Radar uses electromagnetic waves that pass through dust without attenuation, maintaining accuracy even during active filling operations when dust concentration is highest.
System Components
- Radar sensor: 80GHz FMCW, 4-20mA + HART output, IP68 enclosure
- Display unit: Local LCD with volume/weight calculation
- SCADA integration: Modbus TCP/RTU for central monitoring
- Alert system: Configurable high-high, high, low, low-low alarm thresholds
