Project Overview
POSCO Group contracted Manxing to design and build a slag cement mixing plant at their Pohang facility, blending GGBS with OPC cement to produce premium blended cement.
System Design
- Slag storage: 1x1,000T spiral steel silo with aeration pads
- Cement storage: 1x3,000T bolted steel silo with fluidizing system
- Blending: Continuous gravimetric blending with loss-in-weight feeders
- Output: 80 tph blended cement to packaging line
- Control: PLC-based recipe management with real-time monitoring
Key Achievement
Blending system achieved plus/minus 0.8% ratio accuracy, exceeding the plus/minus 1.5% specification, enabling consistent GGBS cement meeting Korean KS L 5210 standard.
