Project Overview
Manxing was awarded the EPC contract for a greenfield cement distribution terminal in East Java, Indonesia. The project scope included two 10,000-tonne welded steel silos, a ship unloading system with 600 tph capacity, dense phase pneumatic conveying pipelines, and an automated truck loading station.
Challenge
The site was located on reclaimed coastal land with high water table and corrosive marine environment. The client required 25-year design life with minimal maintenance within 14 months.
Solution
- Silo design: 18m diameter x 28m height welded steel silos with marine-grade coating (C5-M per ISO 12944)
- Foundation: Deep pile foundation (30m driven steel piles)
- Ship unloading: Pneumatic ship unloader, 600 tph capacity
- Conveying: Dense phase pneumatic conveying, 300m distance
- Loading: Automated truck loading with telescopic spout and load cells
Results
- Project completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule
- Ship unloading achieved 650 tph (8% above design)
- Truck loading turnaround: 8 minutes per vehicle
- Zero dust complaints from adjacent residential area
